Zimbell House Publishing is holding open submissions for
short stories about second chances-For Angels. What happens when an
angel screws up their job? Do they get to choose their next assignment?
How are their jobs assigned in the first place? How does someone become
an angel? Does the angel get to choose which team they work for-Heaven
or Hell? What does a promotion look like? Are there levels like a
corporate ladder for angels? Do angels go on company retreats? What does
an angel have to do to get an assignment working with humans? Do they
even want to? How do angels train?
We want ’em all, short-stories to novellas, that feature these
questions and more. Show our readers what life is like in the ‘great
beyond’. Forget what dogma tells us, this is fiction! Let’s have some
fun with the characters. Are they bent on revenge? A guardian angle? Or
do they dwell elsewhere? Can they cross dimensions? Do they fall in
love? Can they be re-born as a human for the ultimate Second Chance?
Show our readers your best angel story. We want fully developed characters with plots that capture the imagination.
